MARCH 24: Textile strike ends

ON THIS DATE (March 24) in 1912, the “Bread and Roses” textile workers strike in Lawrence, Massachusetts ended. Management offered pay increases from five to twenty-five percent, time-and-a-quarter for overtime, and no discrimination against strikers.
